Family homes, holiday lets and a busy high street

East Wittering mixes long-standing family homes and bungalows with a lot of second homes and holiday lets, especially in the streets nearest the beach. The shops along Shore Road keep it busy all year round.

That shapes the TV jobs we’re asked to do. Owners of holiday lets want a decent screen on the wall that guests can’t knock over and that works first time. Families want the TV off the unit and the cables gone. And everyone close to the sea wants an aerial that keeps working through the winter.

Plenty of homes here have been extended, with open-plan kitchens and garden rooms added on the back. Those extensions are usually plasterboard, which is ideal for hiding cables, but they can also be a WiFi black spot, with insulation that blocks the signal from the router in the older part of the house.
