"Outstanding work. Great communication with Lee at every point about what could and couldn’t be done. Consummately professional and very good value for money. I’d highly recommend and will definitely use again. Top operator, and one to be highly trusted."
AV pre-wiring for extensions and new builds.
The cheapest time to hide a cable is before the plaster goes on. We run TV, network, satellite and speaker cables while the walls and ceilings are open, so the room is ready for whatever goes in later.
5.0from 130 Google reviewsPlan it now, or chase it into the wall later
Most of the effort in a tidy AV install is getting cables to the right place without them showing. In a finished room that means lifting floors, cutting into plaster or settling for trunking. In a room that’s still at the stud or bare-block stage, it’s just a matter of running them before the walls are closed up.
That’s why pre-wiring is worth doing on any extension, loft conversion, renovation or new build, even if you haven’t chosen the TV or speakers yet. The cables cost little next to the work of adding them afterwards, and they sit ready behind a blank plate until you need them.
We fit in around your builder and electrician, run the cables at the right stage, label every end and leave a simple record of what goes where.
The cables worth putting in
What we usually suggest for a living room, and adapt for the rest of the house.
Network cable
A wired data point behind every TV position, in any home office, and in the ceiling where a WiFi access point might go. It’s the one cable nobody regrets. More on WiFi and networks.
Aerial and satellite
An aerial feed to each TV position, and two satellite feeds where you might want a recording box. Adding them later usually means cable down the outside wall.
Speaker cable
For in-ceiling speakers, a surround sound setup or music in the kitchen, run to the speaker positions and back to where the amplifier will sit. See home cinema installation.
A conduit behind the TV
A flexible tube in the wall from the TV position down to the cabinet, so HDMI and other leads can be pulled through later, whatever the kit turns out to be.
Projects we pre-wire
Anywhere the walls or ceilings are going to be open for a while.
Extensions and garden rooms
A new living space at the back of the house, often furthest from the router and the aerial. Pre-wiring brings both to it.
Loft conversions
Foil-backed insulation blocks WiFi badly, so a cabled data point or access point in the new room makes a big difference.
Full renovations
When floors are up and walls are stripped, it’s the moment to replace years of tangled add-on cabling with one tidy layout.
New builds and self builds
We can work from your drawings and agree TV, speaker and data positions room by room before first fix.
Businesses before opening
Screens, sound and data points in place before you move in, so you’re not working around an installation once you’re open.
Where we fit into the build
Timing. We run cables at first fix, after the stud work and before the plasterboard or plaster. Your electrician handles the mains wiring and sockets; we handle the low-voltage cabling for TV, data and sound, and agree positions with them so sockets and outlets line up.
Finishing. Once the room is decorated we come back to fit the faceplates, mount the TV, connect the kit and test everything. If you’re not ready for the TV yet, the cables wait safely behind blank plates until you are.

"Lee did a great job mounting my TV. He was friendly and efficient and went out of his way to help with all aspects. I would 100% use him again."
