"Lee did a great job mounting my TV. He was friendly and efficient and went out of his way to help with all aspects. I would 100% use him again."

Birdham sits between our base in Bracklesham Bay and Chichester, so we’re through it most days. TVs on the wall, aerials, satellite and WiFi for homes in Birdham, Itchenor and around the marina.
5.0from 130 Google reviewsHarbourside homes with long gardens
Birdham and West Itchenor sit on the edge of Chichester Harbour, with the marina at one end and Itchenor’s sailing village at the other. Many homes are detached and set back from the road on long plots, with garages, workshops and garden rooms dotted around them.
Space is lovely to live with, but it stretches a home network. The router sits where the line comes in, often at the front, while the family spends its time in a kitchen at the back or a studio at the end of the garden. Getting a signal out there properly means cabling, not boosters.
The harbour also brings the same problems as the open coast: damp, salty air that ages aerials and cable joints, and wind across the water that works dishes loose. We fit both to last, and check the cable run as well as the hardware on the roof.

What we see around the harbour
The same few things, house after house.
Long plots
Outbuildings and garden offices often sit too far from the house for WiFi. A properly protected cable run fixes it for good.
Harbour weather
Damp, salty air means connectors and cables need weatherproofing properly, or they fail within a few winters.
Conservation area
Itchenor is a conservation area, so dishes and outside cables should be kept out of sight of the street where possible.
On our doorstep
Birdham is on our way to Chichester, which makes it easy to fit a visit in.
Getting a connection to the bottom of the garden
Garden offices and studios are popular on the bigger plots around Birdham and Itchenor, and nearly all of them have the same problem: the WiFi from the house just doesn’t reach. A booster in the kitchen window rarely solves it.
The reliable answer is a network cable run out to the building, protected properly outside, with an access point or data point inside. It puts the office on the same network as the house, with a connection steady enough for a full day of video calls. While we’re there, we can add a TV point too.
